Non-Skier Snowboarder Colorado Winter Vacation Ideas
There's much more to Colorado than skiing and snowboarding. What if you just don't care about a pow day? Well, come hangout in Bailey.
Bailey is so close to Denver and feels extremely far away: an easy win-win. You can settle, staying local or head out to one of the many options for day trips.
Ultimate do-nothing relaxer - let's just stay in, sit by the fireplace, read, play boardgames, take a nap, have a drink, maybe a few more and hop in the hot tub.
Town dora the explorer - short drive into Bailey to grab coffee and strut through the multiple cute shops, zany art shops, and nods to Sasquatch.
Adventurer, but to a spa day - take the beautiful drive down 285 towards Buena Vista and stop at Mt. Princeton or Cottonwood hot springs. Mosey over to St. Elmo ghost town to be taken back in time.
Can't stop, won't stop hiker - ohhhh where to start, AllTrails won't disappoint with trails in Staunton State Park and more. Bring some snow shoes in case. The cabins also have 10 acres of mountainside to traverse.
Town hopper - Bailey, Pine, Conifer, Evergreen, Georgetown, Fairplay, Buena Vista, the list goes on. Each town serves it's purpose, for example if you are re-enacting your favorite Hallmark Special, go to Evergreen.
There is quite more to this list but it is a start. It's time for the non-skiers to have their moment enjoying the pow in their own way.
